Frequently Asked Questions

Where did this site originate?

The name for this site originated about two years ago. While at a party somewhere in the background I heard someone say that someone was a "wicked bad kid", and then reiterated "I mean a wiiiicked bad kid". I looked back to see who they were talking about, laughed at the phrase, and then went on to find the kegs. After ten beers or so, I saw the person who was being called "wicked bad kid" earlier, who will be called "Seth" for the purpose of this story. Although "Seth" did look like a poster-boy for trailer park livin', he in actuality wasn't more "wicked bad" than the rest of us. That's when it struck me that we were all wicked bad kids. Every one of us were, from the girl crying in the corner because she had no friends, to the freshman kid with the multi-colored hair that was probably beaten up some time later that night. The next morning as I suffered my horrible headache, lethargy, and boredom while watching some day-time crap on the TV, and fought my urge to find and kill Montell Williams, I decided that I would do something meaningful with the remainder of the day. The phrase from the night before still rang in my head along with the splitting headache. Unable to get the phrase out of my head, and with no other ideas at the time, I decided that I would make a website to honor being drunk and stupid. You might think this ironic, since this idea itself is stupid, but I was still drunk at the time so I let the irony pass without thinking too much more about it. I also recommend you don't think much more about the theme, or do, whatever, but enjoy the pictures of stupidity, mostly drunken stupidity, and be thankful for the fact that we're not in your house in some of those pictures. Enjoy!

What is a "wicked bad kid"?

First-off I think I have to explain the word "wicked". Wicked, when not used in the proper "Webster's" manner, is often used as an intensifier in the Boston area and in many other parts of New England. Wicked is commonly used in these areas as slang for "very", "incredibly", "extraordinarily" etc., and often found in the context: "the Sox are wiiiicked good this year". A popular quote from Good Will Hunting is: "my boy's wicked smaaaht". This word however is not nationally used in this manner, and if used in this context around people from other parts of the country, they may wonder what type of substance you're smoking. A "wicked bad kid" is a person who is of New England, most notably Boston, Springfield, or any of the surrounding areas, who exhibits the traits of a "bad kid".

Are you a "wicked bad kid"?

Yes, anytime something stupid is done, especially while drunk, you are considered a "wicked bad kid", provided however that you meet the criteria of this site. Having done many a stupid thing while drunk myself, I would have to consider myself a "wicked bad kid" along with probably everyone else on the site.

How do I know if I'm a "wicked bad kid"?

If you live in an area where "wicked" is common slang for the things mentioned above, and you have been known to do bad/stupid things, then there is a chance that you are a wicked bad kid, however each person is considered on a case by case basis, and the title "wicked bad" is only temporary.

I live in Maine not Mass, and I have been known to be bad once in a while. Am I a "wicked bad kid"?

If you use the word "wicked" as described above, then you are a wicked bad kid.

Are you ever going to make your site look better? It's still so crude!

No, I refuse to ever make my site "look better". Any attempts at this by myself, or by others will be met with harsh retribution. This site solely exists to entertain people with stupid pictures, and other items of stupidity, nothing more.

Now that you have a website dedicated to "wicked bad kids" does the phrase still make you laugh?

Every time.
